A woman died while another person was injured when a train hit
a rickshaw at a railway crossing on Monday. Police said that the accident took place as the gate at Kot Lakhpat railway crossing remained open despite arrival of the train.
The rickshaw was destroyed in the collision, resulting in
death of a woman. According to another report, four people had sustained injuries in
the incident, but that report could not be
verified independently. Meanwhile, after getting information
, police, rescue teams and Dolphin Squad personnel arrived at the scene and immediately shifted
the injured to a nearby hospital.
